Paige and her boyfriend, Tommy, host a dinner for their friends Sasha and Marcus, another couple. Paige thanks Sasha and Marcus for picking her and Tommy up after a drunk uber driver put them on edge. As Paige recounts the story, the table playfully teases Tommy who seems to take it in his stride.

After their conversation, a phone notification causes Marcus to step outside and take a call. After a moment, Sasha follows him outside. Paige and Tommy begin the dishes alone in their apartment where Tommy seems notably quiet.
Outside, Sasha confronts Marcus as to who he is speaking with on the phone. They argue about mistrust and Marcus’ previous questionable behaviour. Inside, Tommy confronts Paige about her mentioning the uber driver and her claim that he doesn’t do well with confrontation. When both arguments reach their boiling points, the two couples reconvene at the dining table as if nothing happened.

Later, we see both parties unwind for bed where they express their envy for the other couple seeming so perfect and their dissatisfaction with their own relationship.
