A frail islander at the end of his life reflects on the nature of death, the future, being remembered and walking his dog. At a cliff edge, staring out to sea, he asks himself; how much of my life has been on a leash and who was holding its handle.

A reframing of the classic tale of Narcissus, the director draws on snippets of conversation with a trusted friend to muse on gender and identity. Just as shimmers are difficult to grasp as knowable entities, so does the concept of a gendered self feel unknowable except through reflection. Is it Narcissus that Echo truly longs for, or simply the Knowing he possesses when gazing upon himself?

Two months later the citizens of a high class neighbourhood of Madrid organize demonstrations to protest for the Goverment management of the pandemic. It is called “The Cayetanos Revolution” (*) A woman is getting ready to participate in this
“riot”.
(*) Cayetano is a somehow aristocratic name that is generally used by upper classes. Lower classes very seldom use it.
